Abu Osman Chowdhury, the commander of Liberation War sector No 8, has caught COVID-19.

Quoting Nasima Tarique, daughter of the valiant freedom fighter, secretary general of the Sector Commanders’ Forum (SCF) Haroon Habib said he is now undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.

Haroon said the war hero was rushed to CMH on Sunday noon as his condition had deteriorated over the last two days

The 85-year old Osman has been suffering from various physical complications for a long, Haroon said.

Abu Osman, who won the Independence Award for his contribution to Bangladesh’s freedom, is the Vice President of the Sector Commanders’ Forum.
